Shaws Deals & A Stop at CVS

I scored at Shaw's today, all for under $40! I wanted to take advantage of the 48 cent turkey deal (which does work!) as well as the "Buy $20 of participating products, Get $10 off your next purchase" deal. With the catalina deals, such as the one I did, you need to make sure it's stuff you can use & you're not just buying stuff in order to get the catalina. There were several other catalina deals this week (you can read about them here) that I decided weren't worth it for me.

So here's what I got:
$.91: Bananas
$2: Pomegranate
$5.98: 2 bags Wild Harvest Organic Romaine Hearts

$5.33: 2 Whole Chickens @ 69 cents a pound
$6.12: 12.75 lb turkey

$2: Rotel Mixed Diced Tomatoes, 2 cans
$4: Hunts Whole Canned Tomatoes, 4 cans
$1.38: 2 boxes Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
$1: Domino's Light Brown Sugar
$3.99: Wesson Canola Oil, 48 oz

$5.98: 2 24-Packs of Spring Water, 16.9 oz bottles
$5: 3 Healthy Choice Microwavable Soups
$2: Utz Potato Chips
$5.98: Wild Harvest Natural Peanut Butter

$3: 2 Coffeemate Liquid Creamers, 16-oz
$6: 2 Cartons Egg Beaters, 16-oz
$1.88: Butter

$2.50: Shaws Trash Bags

Total before coupons
$65.05

Coupons Used:
4 $1 off Wild Harvest Coupons (you can print as many of these as you want)
2 $1 off Spring Water coupons
2 $1 off Peanut Butter coupons
1 $1 off Egg Beaters coupon (I thought I had printed my limit, but I just got another one! Oops!)
2 $1 off Coffeemate coupon
1 $1 off 2 Coffeemate coupon from newspaper (also printable $1.50 - should have used that!)
1 $1 off 3 Healthy Choice soups from newspaper
1 $1 off 2 Arm & Hammer Baking Soda printable from Coupons.com (see side bar)
1 $1 off Shady Brook Turkey coupon, printable from Couponmom.com (I know I got it there, but now I can't see it - must have printed the limit)

Total After Coupons: $49.88, Plus, I got a $10 catalina toward my next Shaws expedition because I spent $20 on specific products (I bolded them above).

So I got all of the above for under $40!

Some of my good deals & steals:
A 12.75 lb turkey for $5.12!
2 boxes of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda at 19 cents each!
2 Free Bottles of Coffeemate for a friend!
$.99 each for 2 organic natural peanut butter (no sugar or salt added!)
$1.99 each for 2 huge cases of spring water (now that's a steal)
$1.99 each for packages of 3 organic romaine hearts

And to top it off, I swung by CVS to pick this up, on the last day available:
Crest Pro-Health Whitening Toothpaste: $3.49, get $3.49 ECBs (limit 1)
Used $1 off coupon from newspaper

Nova Max Blood Glucose Monitoring System: $9.99, get $9.99 ECBs (limit 1)

Used $8 in ECB's from a couple of weeks ago with $4+ out of pocket, and got $13.48 in ECB's back, at a profit of $1!

There's nothing too exciting going on at Rite Aid this week unless you really need lots of Proctor & Gamble products, and I haven't seen the CVS or Walgreens circular. I'll be back tomorrow with more deals! Make sure to check your blog reader to see what others are saying :)

I was going to ask about the glucose monitors too.
Great deal on the water!! WTG overall. I agree; nothing great at Rite Aid next week; we'll see what tomorrow's ads bring. What's Catalina?

The monitors are always free or even have overage, so I might as well get them! I have so much stuff to donate at this point; I need to figure that out.

A catalina is the generic name for a register reward (as Walgreens calss them) or ECB's (as CVS calls them). It's a coupon for a certain dollar amount to use off your next order.
